The Xmas party guy tells him it's his trees' leaves.

That's just downright silly. What if the wind blows some of his leaves 3 doors down? Is the guy supposed to go in everyone's yards inspecting leaves to pick up those he thinks may be his?

My neighbor's oak trees drops gazillions of acorns in my driveway every year. It's awful. I'm not going to call him to come clean them up every day. Yard guy comes once a week and gets rid of them. They're back by sunset. Just one of those things.

Leave the leaves alone. This obsession with getting rid of them is weird, and leaf blowers are annoying.

I love people that choose to live in neighborhoods but think that neighbors will never impact their lives. I bet that bastard enjoys the shade. Bet he doesn’t bitch then. It’s a tree. It is wind. Rake the bastards up.

I have a couple pine trees near the end of my house in the front yard. I have to clean the dead needles off the roof two or 3 times a year. I DGAF about leaves in my yard. They will get mulched whenever I cut grass. No way in hell I am taking all that time to rake or blow them to the road.

You pick up the leaves on your property yourself.

Our neighborhood is hilly with towering trees, there is zero real chance to segregate leaves.

You take care of your space and hope your neighbors do likewise.

Sounds like you're composting for a garden. I do the same thing and will often grab bagged up oak leaves at the curb since I live in an area with tons of oak trees lining the streets.

I'll also hit the local cemetery when the grass cutters are working. Their equipment automatically bags up grass clippings and once full, they will tie them off and leave them at the curb to pick up when done. I do them a favor and will pick up all I can get------usually around a dozen or more full bags to dump between my rows to help with weed control and moisture retention.

The plus side is, all that breaks down in time and is incorporated back into my soil before the next planting season.

this is the solution. I’ve always had pretty awesome neighbors. But maybe it’s because I don’t do shite like blow the leaves into their driveway.

But you are correct, if neighbors bother you don’t live in a damn neighborhood

I always thought you were to keep grasses out of your garden, it doesn’t increase weeds?

If you don't want leaves in your yard, just cutting your own trees down isn't going to solve it. Move into a fricking neighborhood with no trees.

Did you not see the other trees when you bought your house? Did you think they would only drop leaves in the owner's yard? Did you not learn about leaves dropping, and wind, and other basic scientific principles in school?

You should go live in an apartment, or quit being a lazy piece of shite and blaming others for your laziness.

I like to burn them after soaking them first. The HOA loves when I do that.

If you garden at all, those leaves are gold. I'll take all my neighbors if they don't want them.

There's almost always someone who will come and take free mulch. Plenty of people running compost piles. Just blow em into a pile and post on Facebook baw

Mulch them in place. Free fertilizer for your soil. Grass will thank you in the spring.

Both blowing them back over AND blowing them into the street are dick moves. Just mulch or bag the leaves and be done with it. Don't be the a-hole neighbor. Geez.

If you have a compost pile that is managed correctly it will get hot enough to kill any seeds that would germinate. You do run a chance of weeds if you put it straight on your garden, but most people aren't going to let anything go to seed in their lawn, so......it isn't a huge worry.
