And it’s not as if this was some sniper hundreds of yards away. This was a 9mm pistol from a car.
Everything about the reporting, the media storm, and the witness has been completely irresponsible.

Obviously. I mean, these misidentification, stray bullet, wrong place wrong time shootings happen daily in America due to gang and drug violence. Those don’t get front page, national attention.

Exactly. A seven year old was killed. So for the mother to take that fact and turn it into a racially motivated incident, without a single kernel of truth to support it, it's absolutely pathetic.
Even if the shooter turned out to be white, to suggest it's racially motivated without any facts is incredibly irresponsible and asinine.

I feel terrible for that family. Remember it was still dark at that time. I don't think they just made up the fact that they saw a white man. I'm sure its hard to recollect after the trauma they went through. They probably did see someone resembling the sketch but were mistaken as to who the shooter was. Yes the media blew it up, yes athletes and civil rights people took it to a higher level. There was a black man within days of this that killed three children (youngest at 6 weeks old) and their mother. That didn't make national news. The media is the problem. The celebrities are the problem. They should be outraged at all crimes, not just when white people kill black people. But that does not take away the fact that this family when through hell. Lets remember that instead.

The 14 year old daughter was an eye witness, saw the shooter, and described him as being white with blue eyes and a black hoodie.
