It sounded ripe for this when the description the sister gave included 'he had blue eyes'. If you saw the surveillance cam pic of the truck they were originally looking for, it was nearly dark outside.
I'm more surprised by Shaun King immediately contacting the police personally after receiving a tip on the suspect who was eventually arrested. I haven't agreed with some of the things he's done in the past- but good on him for doing the right thing, in this case.

The Sheriff in Houston has already started deflecting to the Leftist favorite "at least it started the discussion." That and "what about the kids" are how this will go down in history.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee was asked by a reporter last Sunday about some of the comments she made in the aftermath of the young girl’s death in Houston on Dec. 30.She says it was “absolutely not” irresponsible to make that inaccurate statement.
“I believe – and having written hate crime legislation, knowing the criteria, I believe that this should be looked at as a hate crime,” Lee said during a press conference Friday. “We don’t want to have on the street someone who is willing to kill children and possibly kill them in the name of hate."

we do need to talk about gun violence.
about certain demographics committing the majority of gun related crime and with guns they don't legally own are don't have the paperwork for. law abiding gun owners aren't the ones committing these "violent gun crimes", so don't go punishing us.
