Been a dad for 8 days, all he does is sleep and eat sounds like the life of a teenager already.

While it was harder on the wife in recovery, C-Section FTW. Our daughter was born within two hours of arriving at the hospital.

Stay tough, brother. It'll all be worth it in the end.

I didn't read the responses, but it's funny you say this and the kid isn't even out yet.

As said, be prepared for shite everywhere. God really did a poor job of designing the birth process.

I finally got to read these responses. Thanks for the well wishes and the laughs.

That epidural is like a little angel put inside her to gobble up the pain. They called me back up and she was chilling eating ice chips. I asked if she felt better and I'm not sure I heard the answer before face planting on the chair. Got some rest and good progress while we slept. Gonna be a good day.

Not quite.

He isn't sucking all of the money out of your wallet yet.

Probably because he hasn't gotten the bill from the hospital yet.

Had you been bigger it would have loosened her up a bit.

Funny story related to last night. In the middle of a bad contraction, I told my wife we were never doing this again and she quickly responded "OK!"

This morning I asked her how she felt and she said smiling "this is how we are going to be able to have more"

I'm glad guys don't get to feel whatever she was feeling before the shot, but man am I interested in a little morphine epidural combo.

Epi's are legit, wife was hanging out, playing cards, watching tv, etc just waiting until they said she was ready.
Never wait to ask for the epi, when the water breaks, go ahead and call that in.
Good luck and grats, being a parent is pretty cool.
