So the birthing process sucks

5 straight hours of listening to the wife agonize as if near death. Just got kicked out the room so she can have a foot long needle stuck in her spine that might soothe her enough to allow us to get some sleep. Nowhere near time for this kid to come out. What a helpless, exhausting marathon this is. And I'm not even the one pushing the little guy out.
