So my wife actually made dinner tonight

She said she has thai chicken curry in the crock pot and I will just need to make the rice when I get home. Awesome. I get held up at work but finally get home a moment ago starving. Just need to make the rice, piece of cake.
I look at the directions on the rice and it says I have to let the shite soak for 30 minutes, then cook it for 50. WTF. An hour and twenty minutes for some frickin rice?!
I’m so damn hungry but I don’t want to eat it without the rice, it’s completes the meal. Why couldn’t she just get minute rice or whatever it’s called. frick.

My 10 year old knows how to make rice. He can do it in a half hour on the stove.

Only rice I buy is the one in a bag that you put in the microwave for 1 minute. Works like a charm

Sounds like brown rice rather than white. Wife bought it on accident once and cooked it like white rice. It was still hard as shite when white rice would have been done in that amount of time. Still don't remember the directions saying it should be as long as you say, but I don't know, it was some time ago.

Drive to store, get rice that doesn't take that long, and eat. Or wait. Your call brother. I live in a rural arse area and could get rice and back home in 10 mins from the store.

Boiling rice like noodles is BETA as frick...
2 cups of rice 2 cups of water when it starts to boil turn it to low. I learned that shite in first grade.
Or buy a rice pot..

Brown rice takes 30 mins start to finish(building pressure) in the instant pot and I thought that was super long.
