So why not put your opinions instead of tearing down others opinions? Haven't you been married for awhile now?

You are the king of biased, anecdotal evidence.

Also, how old are you?

Surely you don't know what woman expectations were 200 years ago or when woman were forced to marry into certain families.

Yeah I should have said beware of marrying an only child with overbearing parents lol. Even if she is smoking hot.

I'm great actually. Marriage and cheating stats say otherwise. Good luck. How long you been married?

Was she even 20 when that happened? I bet we all did a lot of dumb shite around that age.

TD narrated the story how they wanted it to play out. And yes, I was very newly 21. And yes, I am quite different as a person than I was then anyway... as is anyone from 21 to 25.

Rag can't resist the opportunity to jump into a thread like this. God forbid I participate in ANYTHING relating to real life because 4 years ago, a story was made up that sounded good. Bet if I was saying the exact shite from an alter, it would be a different thread.

... that's actually not a bad idea..

As if you'd think any answer was long enough.

But the majority of them are pretty obsessed with making sure their wedding looks like something from pinterest and that they have a corny ironic hashtag to put on instagram.

I know its easier now, but my mom still has her wedding scrapbook she made from wedding magazines when she and my dad got married 45 years ago. So its certainly nothing new. Women have always obsessed over their weddings.

I find cross class marriages (with certain exceptions) to work out horribly. I have known of more than one investment banker type that married much lower class women, and the women could not handle it. They reverted back to the mean.

Yup

To the young single guys, marry an underprivileged dirt poor girl with shitty parents. I promise you she'll appreciate you and your life will be easier.

I don't know if that is how that works.

We as men need to stop marrying the crazies (yeah I know they're all crazy to some extent). If they're off before you marry them, they'll still be off after you marry them.

That's all there is to it, many dudes are too dumb to figure out which one to marry.

On a side note, those DIY Pinterest type of weddings are extremely cheap compared to the lavish weddings that aren't as Pinterest-popular. They aren't my style, but a lot of girls from Central had weddings like that and I know they couldn't have been expensive.

Come on .. you have to laugh at yourself a bit here .. What is life if we can't laugh at ourselves .. and I didn't realize that story was "made up" ..

I feel this way as well. You see a lot of bickering, slightly crazy types of couples. I don't see how anyone marries someone they don't effortlessly get along with most of the time.

When you start to notice a trend among friends, acquaintances, and family members, I would say it's more than biased antecdotal evidence.

We have reached a point in society where it's all about "what have you done for me lately" rather than appreciating what has been done.
