Don’t most cars come with an app that allows you to disable it? I know mine does.

A five minute news segment of common sense / blame the victim. Yeah you shouldn't leave the keys in it but how about a ten minute segment blasting the mayors office, nopd, and the local culcha ?

Yeh most of these newer vehicles, even American brands, have an app that you can enable theft prevention and shut it off if it gets stolen and see the location.

I never shut off my car to pump gas but it's a janky Honda Accord and the gas tank is filled on the driver's side.
So they'd have a hard time getting to my door without me seeing them.

I just want to figure out what route the thief took to get out of there. Pretty much anyway I go it takes at least 2 light cycles to get out of that area.

Why wouldn’t you just use remote start to keep ac/heater going when not in the car?

Surprisingly of all the things my vehicle does do, it does not have remote start.
Even still, you have to be within a certain distance for it to work.
