Almost passed out just reading this.

Then you probably shouldn't watch the Youtube video I just did titled "laser to correct retinal tear" that shows a guy having this done and the doctor jabbing a needle into his eyeball and making a bubble with whatever he was injecting.

Have you had chlamydia in the past? Many problems with the eye are a result of chlamydia.

If it makes you feel any better, the guy didn't look to be in a terrible amount of pain and there wasn't an assistant holding him down. The doctor put some kind of anesthetic eyedrops in his eye to numb it before the injection happened. Then the dude was just leaning back in the chair and the surgeon was using the lens thing the ophthalmologist uses to look into your eye during a normal exam to aim the laser and then hitting it with short bursts when it was aimed correctly.

Did the Dr. refer you to a retina specialist?

It’s not a big deal at all. Very common. You will have a laser procedure in the office that takes about 5 min and you will be fine. Afterwards you will wonder why you got so worked up.

You don’t and won’t need a needle in your eye

Maybe that's why they had to pin you down and that guy just kicked back.

Maybe it was different techniques.

And it wasn’t a really a “down.” More of a “forward,” as I was seated with my head in a normal looking eye doctor’s apparatus that has a chin rest and a forehead bar. They just made sure I couldn’t pull back, and I really wanted to by the end.

Apparently I need to see a specialist about surgery to correct this so it does not become a problem later.

Damn, just saw a Groupon for this.
