Congratulations on surviving. Must not have been in the rough parts of Jackson.

Been to those clubs a few times, downtown by the interstate.
Don't think I would venture in that area anymore

First time I went to Uniontown, they had a BBQ pit going on the sidewalk. Guess it was a community pit? PigglyWiggly meat rack had 20 different pig parts I never even heard of. Culture shock for sure

Genuine question, what makes it so bad? I never get over to Jackson but hear a lot of terrible shite.

Those months when you couldn’t use bathrooms or go to restaurants there due to an inability to have clean water was the chef’s kiss to the shite sandwich.

Hope you took bottled water, a bulletproof vest, and some tums: a/k/a the Jackson starter kit.

Terrible policy drives away taxpayers, and soon the takers outnumber the producers.

Many southern cities are in headed this direction.

And then the takers follow the taxpayers. Prosperity undoubtedly attracts those who have no idea how it works.

Not sure why you got the downvotes but Madison, Flowood, and Brandon are far better than any of the BR suburbs

Seems like if they aren’t happy here, why start a “Republic of New Africa”?

There’s an old Africa that has plenty of room available, they could honor their ancestors by moving back.

Most cities can't rely on what's in the city limits to keep it decent. Or as decent as it can be.
The City needs suburban support either with money, influx of people working downtown, etc.

Jackson just doesn't have enough of that support.
Madison alone can only do so much

Not much difference between them. All 4 of them are poor, uneducated, crime-ridden, unlivable ghetto-arse white-trash filled abominable shitholes that need to be wiped out by a meteor strike

White trash? White trash is extinct in Jackson. The last enclave was south of I-20, west of I-55 and east of hwy 18. Those subdivisions are all hood now.
