Anyone educated knows the first landing was filmed in a studio.

Yeah sure we landed on the moon, took fuzzy video, hopped around, brought back moon rock, but had no idea that Trump's face was literally on it!

the other crazy part (to me) without fully researching it is the fact that we also supposedly had the tech and ability to broadcast it live to televisions across the world (they claim 650 million people watched it)
even just a few years ago directv satellites would go offline for rain/clouds

Now consider half a million people working in dozens of states for hundreds of contractors and subcontractors to build the most sophisticated machines ever imagined. THEN, almost all of that goes away with the pivot to the Shuttle. The technology was not lost, but the capacity was.
Remember Rome? They didn't forget how to be the Roman Empire. They lost the capacity to maintain it.
agreed.
a few other things to consider
1. there really was no reason to keep going back to the moon. we beat the Russians, and that was sort of the main point. why keep going back to the moon over and over?
2. massive technological advances continued, but these advances met the current requirements of the times. we didnt need to keep figuring out how to get to the moon more and more efficiently because there was no point to do so. it would be like asking why the government isnt mass producing Sherman tanks or Victory class ships in 2026.
3. the culture of the country has changed a lot. much more of a zero defect mentality now. we were willing to take large risks in the 60s to keep an edge against the Russians in the Cold War. we arent willing to take the same risks now.

I look at it like this.... How does it affect my life one way or another? If we landed, didn't land, whatever.... My life changes none. If Artemis 7 or 8 or whatever Artemis lands on the moon.... my life won't change. I still have to go to work today. And tomorrow.
alright, I get that, seriously
but if we've become a people that don't take interest in humans being inside a box 250,000 miles away in space - we're cooked

Idiot. They crossed the Van Allen Belt. If they can make it to the moon why couldn't they land on it?.
They could’ve either over exaggerated the danger of it as an excuse not to go again or they faked this mission.

You either believe what your told by the television / media or you don't. There is no middle ground.
I don't believe a word they say. Nothing.
They say it's round. To me, that means it's flat.

But I do find it odd that we were able to land on the moon once, and with all the advancement in technology, we have not been able to do it again.
Why do you say we haven't been able??
Why didn't we try?
1. What would be the exact purpose?
2. Not a top priority of the nation.
3. Don't have 300+ billion to spend. (and a ten-year span).
4. Don't have 400,000 employees dedicated at NASA.

I have a high powered telescope and still can't see the six American flags that were planted on the Moon during the Apollo program
