Fun fact, Entergy's CEO has been trying to become a rockstar in his spare time. (Leo Denault)

especially since they started pushing those smart meters. frick them

im curious what the theory is on the smart meters and why having better meters with more real-time data available to the customer is bad for the customer?

Eventually they got me.

Less than $150 in the dead heat of Louisiana summer in 2500sqf where the AC is rolling nearly 24/7 seems awfully cheap right?

Those things made everyone's bill go up. Entergy's explanation was that the meters are more accurate. bullshite.

Dang, mine was more than double that in a similar house. AC is about 25 years old though. Might look into replacing it soon.

We're paying for all the infrastructure destroyed from the hurricanes and then some.

Yep...not everyone realizes higher gas prices mean higher electric bills as well. And right when our country was energy dependent, Sleep Joe and his band of Idiot Democrats reversed it all. Now he's begging OPEC to increase their production to try and hold down prices at the pump.
It doesn't say much for Dr. Jill to claim she is the most educated in the Biden Clan!

This fuel adjustment is back-pay to cover the February freeze

Energy efficient new ones is about less material used in construction. Thinner tubes in coils for better heat transfer, lighter compressors so less mass to move.

Equals breakdown sooner. that is why so many people have new refrigerators that break in 2 years instead of lasting 30+

Our meter was changed one day without our knowledge. No change in metered usage that I can tell.

Rain this summer has been great, our usage is what the frick down from last summer.

That’s not so bad in louisiana. I imagine it’s hot as hell. It’s been rather decent in the northeast this summer. However my bill is broken down into a supply and delivery charge. Last bill was $152 supply and $282 delivery. Isn’t that some shite.

Not quite as dumb as the man that can't do math. $133 + $69 you buffoon. That's $202. This was for May when the thread was started.

My last two bills have been $204 and $209.

Fracking Entergy. I’d light to punch their lights out.

Sounds like Entergy was too stupid to lock in lower supply prices and now the public gets to bail them out.

Entergy owning nuclear power plants in Vicksburg and St Francisville should mitigate the surge in oil and gas price excuse
