Celebrating someone being murdered isn't the same thing as misgendering someone.

Nah. The doctor's job tried to fire the nurse until there was national outrage.

This thread is long, I haven't read it all.

Some ppl, most ppl don't have to make"judgement" call at work. They are just bean counters.

A lot of the who's who that's been called out have been educators (shaping the minds and worldviews of our children) and health care professionals (responsible for 'judgement calls' for ourselves and loved ones).

Even "no big deal" workers have threatened to piss in the drinks of those opposing their hatefulness. (actually an owner of a brewery).

What we say IS a good indicator of who we are- and these people don't need to be in positions where they can miseducate, mistreat or tamper. Period.

Hypocrisy in politics is nothing new.

If the rules were the same, if the standards for decency were set in stone, unemployment rates would have skyrocketed after a crazy MF’er bashed Pelosi’s head in with a hammer. I lost count of how many people I talked to in person who thought it was hilarious!

I hope it is still legal to point out hypocrisy in this country.

Required disclaimer: I do not celebrate anyone’s death for any reason, even the “Darwin Awards” that are so popular on this board, even the executions. Let us not forget for whom the bell tolls.

Exactly my point.

Social media is poison and needs to go away. That said, while I don’t necessarily agree with Vance’s comment, the left has been practicing cancel culture and doxxing for years. It’s their turn, now. Anyone in front facing, care-taking, etc. careers should have enough sense to behave and be smarter. I don’t want a medical person or 1st responder, or teacher for my child who “celebrates” the death of another bc of their views. I would never trust them. It’s ok to have differing views, but celebrating death is a different animal.

Me either. We asked them to stop but they didn’t. It’s gone past that now unfortunately. That’s not hypocrisy. It’s game on.

The culture of social media needs to be adjusted. Just like Reddit. It used to be awesome. The culture ruined it.

Some of my most mundane hobbies like wood working and raspi project sub reddits are filled with online shaming, gate keeping and politics.

The media isn't the issue but the culture.

Celebrating someone's grisly murder and calling for further violence is not a protected belief. I hope this helps.

If this is true then why even post about it in the first place?

Because you like attention. So here you go.... here's your attention.
