instead of having a "national conversation" and protests about another kid being shot, let's have media handwringing, protests, Presidential comments, etc about why these kids keep ending up at odds with law enforcement.
What happened in the young mans life that ended up with him having the cops called on him for robbery?
That would require actual introspection and that awful thing we can't do to so-called disadvantaged classes: critical judgement.

RIP Tyre. I'll eagerly wait for the body cam of this shooting. Just like Tamir Rice I wouldn't be shocked if it was an execution. Given that cops write the narrative and investigate themselves I expect the cop will be cleared after an extensive "investigation" and vacation. #JusticeForTyre

Exactly. People act like kids are pulling some sort of super soaker looking thing on cops. When in fact the BB Gun they draw looks like a real gun.

Here is a ban I would be all for, ban BB gun makers from making them look like real hand guns. Making them look like the real one serves no purpose. Stick with the Red Ryder types... I mean WTF?
Only ones to be mad at in this situation are the parents though. Raise your kid right and he would have never had this happen.

That's the cops narrative, how many times has that narrative been a lie?

But again, reread the thread, it was said multiples times that it was basically better the kid is dead now, saves money.

What would be even better, now that the kid is dead and can't serve punishment for his crime...The parents should be charged with the crime. If he didn't actually rob the store, well he's guilty of trying to evade police and some form of assault with pulling the gun.
This type of solution would actually stop the problem at its source and eventually we'd have a lot less crime in America.

Too freaking bad!!! Pull a gun on police in an alley, don't expect them to examine it before they shoot you. That state may be open carry, but I doubt that covers kids open carrying. He got what was coming to him. One less thug to worry about.

Here's an idea, don't break the law and they won't have to write a narrative.

Hopefully they were wearing body cameras that clearly show the suspect pulling the gun.

Add this to the list of reasons why wearing a body cam is a good idea.

I thought the Tamir Rice shooting was bad, this one sounds like the kid didn't give the cops much of a choice.

What is factually wrong with this statement?

If he is robbing stores at gunpoint and pointing guns at cops at 13, do you really not see the writing on the wall?

Would you rather an innocent shopkeeper or citizen be killed by this blossoming menace? And then be fed and cared for on the taxpayer dime, to be released to commit crimes again?

How about you know, don't pull a gun on a cop? I know it sound weird, but actually listening to the cop will help avoid getting shot

@MsPackyetti Ohio is an open carry state. Still, they keep killing black kids with BB guns. #TamirRice, and now, #TyreeKing
When are black kids in Ohio going to learn brandishing a BB gun at police officers is not a good idea? More importantly, when are the black adults of Ohio going to teach their kids this simple life lesson?
