Do you think the average policeman wants to be in a situation in which they have to shoot and kill someone?

People honestly believe this.
They think cops "know they will get cleared" & go kill innocent people when they are having a bad day.

What is factually wrong with this statement?

If he is robbing stores at gunpoint and pointing guns at cops at 13, do you really not see the writing on the wall?

Would you rather an innocent shopkeeper or citizen be killed by this blossoming menace? And then be fed and cared for on the taxpayer dime, to be released to commit crimes again?
This has nothing to do with my point.

What would be even better, now that the kid is dead and can't serve punishment for his crime...The parents should be charged with the crime.
Brilliant!!!

Good.... I'm sure he was going to be a pillar of the community. Cops showed up to a burglary and he pulled a black 'bb' gun. If you were put in the same exact situation and say you wouldn't do the same thing as the cops then you are a liar. If blacks want to stop being shot by the police how about NOT BREAKING THE LAW! This is getting ridiculous. I have a BB gun that would be confused for a real gun in a split second. Blacks need to stop blaming cops and take responsibility for once.

How about cops quit killing kids with toy guns. NO law was broke until the cops profiled and tried to arrest this 13 year old. Kid was probably terrified and didn't know what to do. He's a dead child now.

You are really a special kind of stupid!

That's the cops version. Which in multiple cases throughout the US has shown they lie to protect themselves

Seeing reports that say that the cop didn't have a body cam.
How convenient

And that's why many departments are against them. When one fails then peopoe automatically assume it's a cover up.

Still better to have them than not

I want body cams on all active police. To protect both sides. If it fails and people complain they will still complain without them as well. It has been shown to decrease lawsuits against departments that went to bodycams. The complaints against these departments drastically went down.. and that also saved money.

I agree. Wish they all had them and they never failed and were fool proof.

Just hate to see the day that an officers and witness testimony is thrown out and criminals are set free due to a malfunctioning camera

AGreed. Thugs gonna thug. Can't say much more about that. And a small minority of police will make mistakes now and again and sometime those are fatal or near fatal. ANd when they do, much more often than not, they try and cover it up with exaggerated claims or outright fabrication. That I think most will agree on. I am not saying that is the case here at all. Just agreeing that body cams can be helpful all around. WHy someone would not want them, as a public servant is beyond me.

I love body cams, car cameras and cajeras in the station. Makes my job easier. I never have to testify anymore. I show the defense attorney the video.
