So you're more likely to die of a King Cobra bite than from coronavirus.

Vava Suresh had been rescuing the cobra

You call it rescuing, I call it aiding and abetting.

Cobras reproduce by laying eggs. Females typically lay 20 to 40 eggs at a time,

So for every female cobra he rescues, that's ten to twenty more female cobras.

Seems like a strange way to keep employed.

Did anyone watch the video? As soon as he got bitten, he dropped the snake and everyone start hauling arse

Yep. I was surprised though how long it stayed latched on to him.

those bitten by cobras are usually given 25 bottles of antivenom; however, the medical board decided to inject 65 after no progress was made in Suresh's health.

Sounds like they need to make bigger bottles

I’m sure glad i don’t live in areas that have one of the top ten most venomous snakes in the world

Louisiana sure as a lot of snakes. We are just lucky that most are harmless.

You know how I know that you have never worked on poly-pipe irrigation or worked in a rice field before? Cottonmouths love them some polypipe on a hot Louisiana summer day.

I hope that video isn't an example of his skill, cause he looked like he didn't know what he was doing.

I could have performed just as well as he did with my zero experience handling cobras

During British colonization after several Brits were killed by cobras, the government decided to eradicate them. Since they were killing the white British and the local Indians understood them better and were the best at wrangling they decided to start paying cobra bounties to anyone who brought in a carcass. So naturally the Indians started capturing and breeding cobras to make money. The British government realized this was happening and ended the program. So all those captured breeding cobras were realeased into the wild. A famous example of government trying to fix a problem and making it much worse

A) I've seen your pictures on here before, and you seem to do it somewhat safely, or at least as safely as you can be doing something like that. This guy I follow casually holds exotic cobras and vipers like they're a baby corn snake.
B) Most North American venomous snakes are not super deadly. Yeah, at best they'll ruin your day, but death is a statistical outlier.

I saw a few snakebites in ICU in my career. You definitely don’t want to get bitten by a rattlesnake.Copperhead and Water moccasin are much milder in comparison.

The good thing about Timber.Rattlers, which we have, are not aggressiv

Note sure about India, but that much antivenom in the US would run you more than the annual national defense budget.

My so was bitten by a cottonmouth 3 years ago. He received 5 to 6 vials of anti venom. Final bill for the anti venom and icu bed was around $230,000 ??
