re: How Many People Do You Know that Were Bitten by a Venomous Snake?
Posted by mamagreg on 8/20/26 at 8:52 pm to choupiquesushi
My oldest son was bitten by a Moccasin while he was walking on a rice levee. Got him on the ankle. He ended up staying in the ICU for a week and received 4 vials of anti venom. He didn’t fully walk for about a couple of weeks. He said it immediately felt like his foot and ankle was on fire and couldn’t walk.
Frequent this place when I visit one of our compressor stations.

Those marshalls patrolling that stretch of 90 are a beast. And that construction zone is low hanging fruit for them. I’m sure they are loving these opportunities.

My dad had a welding and machine shop, so I was the gopher and welder helper during the summers.

My uncle had a mini mart for a few years, so I was the stock boy.

Bought my material from Mueller metal buildings and had a local contractor install.
Yep, I’ve noticed a good amount of VB this early in the season. It’s never been this bad this early. That VB is a beast, and coming with some vengeance. Celsius is on its way though.
That’s one of the Isley Brothers right there……dah dah dah dah dah dah Between the Sheets.
I’ve never seen a party trip over their dics as much as the Republicans. It’s sad and comical at the same time.

How about the ole slacks and button down long sleeve…then your roll up the sleeves like they’ve been working tirelessly….for you of course.
I was informed a long time ago by an ole LSU ag guy not to feed until after April 15th. You want that grass to come out of dormancy on its own. This gives a lil more time for the roots to get established.

Poole Brothers nursery is another one to go by.
She’s got a touch of hysteria. She needs to be treated for this. A good bit of hysteria treatment (old fashion stress relievers) would certainly help and not hurt.
I also blame social media for this.
Oh, and I can fix her.

Yeah and they sure do spends a $hitload of money. Do you realize my price tag for standing outside in Minneapolis in freezing a$$ weather. I’m gonna make it worth my while!

Sad day indeed. My dad raced this track in the 80’s, Chevy II on Saturday nights. They had a couple of other folks from my hometown (Eunice) that would race there as well. Also went to the Cajun Nationals a few times. It was awesome and always on Memorial Day weekend. Joe Amato was favorite Top Fuel back then. Also loved the Snake and Mongoose showdowns in Funny Car.
Heat deflector is your answer. I have one.
Miami-Marathon-key west recommendations
Posted by mamagreg on 1/3/26 at 4:54 pm
Planning a June trip, flying into Miami and staying a couple of nights. Then making the drive to Key West but will make an overnight stay in Marathon. Then staying 3 nights in Key West. Excluding Key west, what are places to stay in Miami (south beach area) and Marathon? What are some sight seeing’s in South Beach?
