Not sure if I just got lucky with a couple gigs when younger, but I don’t see this going on anymore with the younger people at my company.
It definitely went on with the younger folks in my most recent company. A few marriages resulted as well.

My youngest is 5 and the girl is 10, I’ve got some years left holding hands, but man, that hurt my heart. You’ll have grandkids to make up for that one day
Two of my grandkids (1 & almost 3) will be at the house today and overnight. And yeah, it is like reliving the sweetness from having small children.

No

Spending all day floating the banks fishing the mayfly hatches. Time didn’t mean a thing
Working for a landscaping company as a teenager. Building flower beds. Laying sod. Being able to work hard ALL day and nothing hurt, looking at the job when you’re done. Still wish I could do that again
Good post OP

The perfect swirl on a TCBY small yogurt and hitting 5oz on the nose every time without even having to weigh it.

Walk into my grandparents' house.
All too soon it'll be my parents' house, so I cherish every time I can do that now.

Catching little green turtles to sell to pet stores when they hatched out.
Paddling my pirouge I could catch 50 a day easily. Bought an old six hp outboard for $15.00. Then I could cover miles in a day and catch 100-150.
I would sell them from $.50-.75 cents apiece to the pet stores in Houma,Thibodaux and New Orleans.
This was in 1967. I could buy my own hip boots, hunting clothes and two cases of shotgun bullets every year. I was ten years old.
After those first two cases of shells I would barter ducks and poule d’eau for more shotgun bullets. I never bought another case.

Finding bottles in ditches to get the return money. As a child in the late 70s you could get 6-12 every other day or so. Go sell them for a few cents and buy candy.
It’s a big thing but I miss being unavailable, you are never out of reach now. That sucks.

Playing baseball. Love the game. Loved playing it. I couldn't play it now with my back issues.
