Slaughter fire chief resigns after fight at gas station with police officer

I always knew firemen and policemen beefed, but daaaaamn. What else do you expect in a town named Slaughter (besides actual slaughter)

Little known fact - I was actually born in Slaughter.

Guess a cop has to sucker punch a fire chief to get charged with anything.
If that was anyone else they would be charged with resisting arrest for some made up crime.
