My kid goes to private school in BR although she's not quite in HS yet.
Her school is fairly conservative but I have little doubt that kids across the country are being force fed BS like this.
I have already begun discussing topics like "white privilege" with her and why it's a crock of shite.
When schools wrap this up in some sort of religious package, it's even more insidious. It's bad enough to say this is about "justice", but saying this is what God wants you to do brings it to a new level.

Me too. It a stupid talk that must be had now thanks to the liberal white guilt ridden idiots of this country.
It is ridiculous but they do get force fed this crap via things like social media, TV and in education now.

From a student:
School isn't sending out fake presentations to parents and they don't want whites going to BRCC
quote:Crisis averted
per a first-hand account
This was not stated or a point made at the presentation. It was at best an off-handed comment made by one presenter in the middle of a word salad discussion.
Mainly discussion of "white privilege" and "systemic racism," but it was completely disorganized and was a terrible presentation and waste of time.

All I know is what was told to me from daughter and friends that sat through it. The items listed in the OP were discussed.
And my dumb arse son came home from catholic school one day and said, "our Priest says the N word isn't a bad word".
If hadn't dug a little deeper into my teen son's warped brain I wouldn't have realized the priest was simply teaching a valuable lesson that day. The premise was words don't have meaning or power unless you give them power. Kids with no concept of racism like to say The N word just like the F word, because it's taboo. The priest was encouraging kids to ignore bad words said by other kids who were trying to be a rebel or "cool".
But I could have come here and put his school and priest on blast because my "son said it so it must be true!"

They can’t get in on merit. It’s nothing to do with wealth. Check their gpas, ACT/SAT test scores, community service, class ranking, extracurriculars, honor/AP classes.
All goes back to Charles Murray and the Bell Curve.
Minority students that score in the top 10% of test takers will get into MIT and are in classes with the top 3% of students and they almost always flunk out. The colleges don’t really care because they get to say they accept a certain number of minorities.

So part of the day I am going to teach him whites are the devil, and the other half I am going to teach him privilege is bullshite
Or should I do full days of each and go on a Monday/Weds/Friday & Tues/Thurs/Saturday split and leave sunday for self reflection?

Heard the same. One panelist was asked if he could go back to 17-year old him and give him advice, what would it be? He said he’s save money and go to community college for two years then transfer into a four year school. Saving tons of money and getting used to college life. How that got twisted into “whites should go to community college so more minorities can get into four year schools” is beyond me.

I'm working in a public school in a fairly liberal area of Kentucky.
I've never even seen that mentioned. I have seen kids encouraged to go to CC instead of a 4-year (all kids) if they're going to school for a non-specialized major to save money.

Imagine a school charging 13,000 a year preaching to its students to go to community college instead of prestigious universities I mean, that’s a hell of a selling point to want to dish out 13 grand
Now imagine it’s 20k a year. SJA is about 20k

I’d go M/W/F & longer T/Th or just follow A/B Monday-Friday. The kid needs some focused self reflection on both sides on weekends.

This is so ridiculous.
Don't be surprised when SJA enrollment numbers decline.
Do they not understand who funds their institution?

It was roughly 6500 in 2006
That is a 200% increase in 14 years Roughly 180% higher than the inflation rate increase
