Point Reyes CA
Why?
It just seemed like an endless beach coast in person. Go see the lighthouse. Do it before the big quake hits, else will be ocean.

Notre Dame (just amazing how work that intricate was done with the tools they had)
Notre Dame is a bucket list item, but IMHO the cathedral at Koln blows any other church away. Truly impressive building.

The Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona looks badass as well.

The Grand Canyon is a great example. I've never seen any of these places live, but I will.

And the Redwoods

All the crap in Egypt
There is no way humans that long ago built all that stuff. My brain can’t handle it, it’s easier for me to accept aliens did it

Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon are surely in this category.
Golden Gate Bridge.
Anything in Alaska.
Niagara falls is another.
We went up the Sears tower and Empire State building. Both were amazing to see directly.
In contrast, the Alamo and Chalmette battlefield are the opposite. Kind of underwhelming from an in person visual standpoint.

I've not yet seen the Grand Canyon, sadly. But someday I will.
Places I have seen:
Barringer Crater in Arizona. Actually, pretty close to the Grand Canyon, but was just passing through and didn't have time to see both.
Stone Mountain
Golden Gate Bridge - I walked out to the middle and just stood there for about an hour.
Niagara Falls - the Canadian side offers the best views.
Stonehenge - been there twice. The first time was 50 years ago. Back then, they allowed people to actually walk among the rocks and touch them.
The Colosseum - another place that I've visited twice, 50 years apart.
Pompei / Mt. Vesuvius (hiked to the top)
Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Eiffel Tower
Snake Alley in Taipei
Denali
The top of the Empire State Building
The Meeting of Waters in Manaus, Brasil. This is the confluence of the Rio Negro and the Amazon.

Notre Dame was so crowded when we visited that it was hard really take in. I was disappointed that I didn't get to truly soak it in.
