You’re gonna love it. Makes those long flights a breeze.

Fly Emirates first class and I bet you’d change your mind.

I did their business class (which was still $9k round trip). It was fantastic. I will caveat it is worth looking at a different airline if its 777 routes. Luckily our longest legs both ways (JFK > DXB) were A380s. 2nd leg on inbound was 777, but first leg out on our return was an A380 as well. But their A380 international business experience was awesome. You realize how garbage US airlines are.

Doing this in September from JFK to Milan. So psyched.

Flew first class from Chicago to Rome in those pods they have...I didn't want to get out of my pod when we landed. I think I'd pay a decent amount of money just to fly around in a pod with no destination at all

My favorite part of every flight is when the captain comes on at the end and just shoves his mic into his throat and tries his hardest to make the destination weather report and "thanks for flying" message a garbled mess.

It's better than "We will be on the ground shortly."

I always take that the wrong way. In Nepal they were on the ground quicker than they expected.

Last time I flew first class, the guy in the next seat spent the whole flight trying to figure out how I wound up in first class. He didn't come out and ask, "how on earth did you afford this ticket," but I could see the wheels turning in his head
Is this really a thing anymore? I would think that any guy in shorts, hey dudes, and a ball cap could afford first class or a 5 star hotel No one dresses up for anything anymore and there are a lot of people running around who have made money doing crazy things.

Is there anything that can be done to get rid of the TSA?

Do you want them to say "it's cramped in here, service will be spotty, idiots will be up and down in the aisles, and we will be landing in NOLA shortly, try not to get shot"

I’d take a 9/11 every year if it meant getting rid of the TSA.

You got that right.

I did the business as well to South Africa. Was unreal. Didn’t do first class but walked around in it. The only thing I’ve done that’s came remotely close to it is virgins first class.

here is absolutely nothing enjoyable about flying on a commercial airplane.

I have only had a handful of bad flights with united over the last couple years. The vast majority of them are fine and unremarkable. It's usually when some fatty upgrades to a middle seat in economy comfort that i have an issue.

By that point my bags are checked, I'm through security, I'm on the plane, and it's actually going to take off. The worst is over.

Flying is more enjoyable than driving more than 5 hours...and I am not driving the plane

Walking in a SW flight from Olando, the pilot was playing guitar, and singing. Doesn't get any better than that.

I like flying. Even in the little ERJ provided I have exit row seats on the isle. Blow up my neck pillow, put on the noise canceling head phones, and crank up a little Dvorak and I’m drooling by take off. I do hate waking up on landings though. Scares the shite out of you.
