Single women (especially black women) buy homes to raise their children in. Single men really don't.

Disregarding the women that gained their home through divorce, is anyone surprised that guys that live like this when they're single

are also less likely to buy a home when they're single?

Yeah but those homes are 72% the size of an average single man's home.

My point exactly. Single men don't really need much to be happy.

I think alot of of this, and especially in places like New Orleans, houses are passed down to the women of the family many generations over. They aren't actually purchased by a bunch of financially independent single mothers who are undoubtedly on government assistance.
