Because you live together, you’ll be face to face more often. That means you don’t have to communicate by phone necessarily every day, but living together means you’ll see each other and interact every day. People still living apart have their own distinct lives and separate routines and chore regimes to keep up their separate homes. People who live together have everything much more blended because the same set of chores and responsibilities effect both parties. Not an apples to apples comparison at all.
