At the minimum, it's a 15% payraise.

My wife makes more than me, so no.

In my experience it seems people who glorify being single have a deeply misguided idea of what being in a relationship is supposed to be.

You partner up with or get married to a man or a woman because you love them and want to spend the rest of your life with them. Full stop. Usually that's because they make you happy, or they make you a better person.

My wife levels me out, much like I level her out. Without her to put things in perspective I'd be chasing my every impulse, likely bumming from city to city with no real ambition. If she was single, and I can't say this for certain, but she'd probably still be back in Louisiana, never seeing the upside to taking a chance and moving somewhere else just for the change of scenery. She grounds me. I like to think that I encourage her to let loose a little bit.

Obviously money plays a role in every marriage, but as long as you two are on the same page about where you want your finances to go, they should mean very little in regards to how fulfilled you are in your marriage.

Had some great times being single, and also sometimes miss the freedom to do whatever the frick I want on a whim.

But, being happily married with 2 kids is a far more enjoyable life.

Plenty of fun skanks out there to befriend, but when you find a slutty gal with a great job and a strong motherly instinct, just hope she doesn’t have a side piece and jump in on a long investment.

I disagree, if you’re older. I like the stability of my partner and don’t miss the dating life one bit. Too many crazies and Karen’s out there to weed through. I don’t want to raise another man’s kids and women over 30 with no kids are bat shite insane.

Disagree. Both have plusses and minuses, but in my experience, single life gets old way faster than a decent relationship.

My fiancée outearns me slightly, and it’s pretty close to 50/50 split on all expenses in the household. Sounds like you chose poorly.

Generally people that are single think being single is the best. People in relationships think that’s the best. I’ve been both and thought both were right at different parts of my life. I think I was right each time.

I like being single, but thats just because I havent met a woman I can stand long enough to marry. Im also a bit of an introvert and can go days without needing interaction and women cant handle that.

everyone in this thread talking about wife and kids best thing ever....Same miserable mother frickers in the other threads saying schools need to open cause their kids are too much and and economy needs to open so they can get back to work because they can't handle being around their wives.
