Babylon Bee > The Onion

Nah only way you believe this is if you are ate up with the politics. Bee is only taking right wing fear mongering and turning up the absurdity meter to 11. But its all politics based.

The onion not only doesn't chose sides and everyone's a target. It even does parody outside of strictly politics.

for example looking at both today. The Bee front page is nothing but articles making fun of democrats. Which isn't terrible if that is what you are into

The onion Has
-two articles making fun of republicans,
-two articles making fun of democrats.
-One article about a dude that went to another dimension and found a new way to sear meat
-A guy struggling about coping with his dead dog because he doesn't know the difference if it got hit by a "meteorite" or a "meteroid"
-a double jointed guy owning a party by doing weird arm things
-and a new dating site with people you already know but thought you were too good for.

still give me the onion over the bee. and as you said...it's not even close.

They have to turn the absurdity meter to 11 because the political ideology they're mocking has turned that same meter to a 10 (female penises).

Find me an article mocking Harris. The only articles I've seen from the onion that include Harris are ones where she has to say dumb things to.appeal to those dumb conservatives.

I heard they tried to purchase it using "future earnings" and a judge has smacked them down to make way for actual, real investors

The onion article posted above your post shows several absurd headlines. I’m not seeing the same difference you are. Does the bee miss sometimes? Of course. So did the onion.

I haven't followed the Onion in 20 years, so that might be the case now, but I've read Bee articles posted here many times, and the Onion, in its 90's heyday, shite all over anything the Bee has ever done. I've never seen any subtle humor in a Bee article. They just beat you over the head with the joke which makes for poor satire.

Nothing to do with politics, I often agree with the position they're pushing, I just don't find it that funny to simply present an obvious, and on-the-nose, absurd conclusion to political topics.

Good summarization

I’ve clicked on these Onion things y’all have posted.

I think some of you need a class on how to acquire a sense of humor.

Terrorist extremely annoyed by delayed flight - September 2000.

CHICAGO–His flight from O’Hare to LaGuardia delayed more than six hours, Hamas militant and would-be suicide bomber Nidal Hanani vowed never again to fly United Airlines.

“I do not have time for this,” said Hanani, seated at a Burger King in Concourse C, a plastic-explosives-filled duffel bag at his feet. “My jihad against the West was supposed to be carried out shortly after takeoff at 8:35 this morning. It is now 2:50 p.m. How much longer must I sit around this airport like an idiot before God’s will is done?”

“The bile churns within me, I am so outraged,” Hanani said. “I go to the ticket counter, and the females wearing men’s clothing tell me, ’We can put you on standby and try to get you on a 4 p.m. flight.’ Why do they say this word, ’try’? I did not buy a ticket for a 4 p.m. flight. I buy a ticket for a 8:35 a.m. flight.”

“I have kneeled toward Mecca three times today already,” added Hanani, gesturing eastward in the direction of a TCBY stand. “Still I wait.”
