You need to do a better job explaining.

Because they had no evidence on the ex wife from what I remember

Dad of the ex is rich and connected. Lawyered up big time and had Mississippi judges in his pocket to block attempts to get phone records etc.
This really isn’t a shot at Ard, but this thread went away. Figured now was a good time to re-start it.

Not taking up for Ard but if there was no evidence or not enough of a connection to get a warrant for the phone records to prove she was involved how is that his fault?

Dad in small town in Mississippi with a lot of power had local judges blocking attempts to get those records. Got to remember that subpoenas across State lines require cooperation from the judiciary to honor and approve the subpoenas. From what I have heard, the Mississippi judges played interference due to the dad’s influence. Pretty tough to gather evidence when that’s the case.
This isn’t an anti-Ard thread. In fact the opposite. But I figured it would be a good time to bring up this case since justice has not been served.

Maybe not. If some of the rumors are true about the sheriff, maybe the feds get involved in this case as well. Justice needs to be served for that senseless murder.

If it's across state lines, isn't it a federal matter anyway?

This is one thing you're certainly good at...

LP had a chance to elect a good sheriff when Mickey McMorris ran years ago. Ard is the same person that got suspended for selling steroids to inmates about 15 years ago.
Willie was as corrupt as a sheriff could be, and Ard was the kiss arse that guaranteed the Graves' family would still have pull in the parish.
Unfortunately, on this issue, I'm in the "know".
