Seeing estimates as high as M8.7 and 9.0.

I haven't seen any significant damage videos scrolling in Xwitter yet.

There was a 6.3 aftershock.

It won't end up that high. It will probably be around the 8.0 to 8.2 range (which could still be a record, I don't know what it would take).

Most of the video so far has been out of Davao City. Nothing looks catastrophic there. I'm not sure how close to the epicenter it is.

We have to deal with hurricanes
and now central Louisiana is part of "Tornado Alley"
at least we don't need to worry about earthquakes
