...read "Thank you for your service"

A nice gesture, but wrong holiday, and I doubt if any of their target audience is going to see it.

Just be glad they noticed the holiday at all. NotTheBee did a thing today on Vets/Memorial/Armed Forces day differences.

Is there a sale on TVs somewhere? That's what everyone wants to know.

The name “Veterans” and “Memorial” should be easy to discern, but we are talking about the American public in 2023.

No, you're just uneducated. I think most vets appreciate any focus at all on bros and broettes, but there is a difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day for a reason.

Nice, you two (and counting) dickheads downvoted a pic of the Rome/Sicily American Cemetery at Nettuno. on Memorial Day. I thought I was socially awkward, but wow.

So they can't thank those who passed for their service? Jesus man y'all find odd things to get salty over

Actually understanding who the holiday honors honors them.

Knowledge is good.

But did they? It was the comment on the tech board about asking where TV sales were that set me off.

I get salty and emotional like a chick over certain things, and this is one.

It’s really because of the lack of civics /American History taught in schools today.

A huge disconnect.

I had someone thank me for my service at a memorial event yesterday and politely responded while thanking them I was here to pay respect for those who died in service and their heroic sacrifice.

We have to teach the populace who our real hero’s are.

Any signs on Target, Kohls or Bud Light doors regarding this day of remembrance?

I still think we should swap the calendar positions of Veterans Day and Memorial Day. Let’s celebrate Veterans (who are still alive) in May and give people a 3 day weekend at the dawn of summer and mourn and recognize those who gave all during the fall and at the dawn of winter just prior to Thanksgiving.

I’m not in the armed forces, but certainly don’t think that i would feel out of line thanking the folks who served and survived during this weekend. Even if not a holiday about them I appreciate that they risked their lives to serve.

Couldn’t it be thanking those who have fallen or served and have past away for their service? I personally don’t see the issue TBH.

I assume you mean Legends in NYC, I would take this as a huge W considering there are people here that want drag queens and trannies doing reading hours.
