LINK Link to one of their local stations coverage.

15th body found in 2025 and 6th in the last week or so.

They say it's not connected but don't they always say these things are not connected to try to avoid hysteria and confusion?

They say its not connected but they won't discuss the suspected matter of death for any of the victims.

In all of 2024, 24 bodies were recovered from Houston’s sprawling 2,500-mile network of bayous and waterways. With more than three months left in 2025, this year’s total is already just 10 shy of that figure.

If they don’t know who killed the 6 people, it’s disingenuous to say they aren’t connected. Imo

i was thinking about starting a thread on this too because i hadnt seen anything. no surprised they claiming no connect, but at this point, seems pretty undeniable. of course, i guess we would have to know how many dead bodies they pull out of bayous in the course of a normal year, but this seems unusual.

ETA - looks like that number was already shared, i jsut replied to the OP

public math is hard, but if they pulled 24 out in 2024, and assuming that is a ballpark for a normal year, then wouldnt 15 in 2025 actually be LESS than a normal year?

do we even know if all 6 were murders?
could they be drunks falling in and drowning, etc.?

Maybe they haven't found them all yet.

IDK but the medical examiner or whoever's interview I saw saying its not connected over and over, sure looked super suspicious.

Yeah, we going to need to know the historical averages. If 24 bodies was astronomically high, then it may be a serial killer.

“A serial killer typically targets a specific type of victim — whether that’s based on age, gender, race, or occupation” Gehring said.
Captain Zia confirmed the lack of pattern:
“It runs the gamut — different genders, different age ranges. There’s no clear link between them.”

I was wondering about this. Very odd if this is serial killer that there’s no shared characteristics in the victims. Usually serial killers have a set type they go after. Maybe this one just likes killing and doesn’t care who it is. Or maybe, as the police are saying, none of these are connected.

They probably are all homeless drug addicts. 4 of 6 are unidentified. I mean, most people get reported missing if they disappear.

Serial killers have probably adapted with technological advancements, now I would think they just have to choose the best “opportunities” regardless of their preferred “type”.

Israel Keyes was doing that 10+ years ago.
