Nah. South Shreveport will fight back when it starts to hit too close to home.
No, they'll just move further south. Why would they change now?

People are moving more south and more north from there!

I don't know if it's been posted, but they caught the lady.

I find Haughty Shreveport people from....Broadmoor quite humorous. I'm sure you ride your bike to Rhino coffee & Marilyn's.

Which part of South Shreveport we talking about? I grew up in Southern Hills, my parents have lived there since the early 90s and they're about ready to get out. Houses are popping up for sale left and right in their neighborhood. Crime has been on the rise in that area. Petty theft in the neighborhood, robberies have made their way down the Mansfield road corridor from the Jewella area. Shootings in the nearby area.
It's just not the same area it was 20 years ago.

Shreveport/bossier would be better off building a minor league baseball stadium

Somebody pulled up the crime stats in the area a while ago on one of the FB pages and no, crime isn't rising in the area. Well...it has risen the past few years but still nowhere near what it was in the 80s and 90s.
And you are right. It isn't the same as 20 years ago. Crime is lower
People are just more aware of it now. 20 years ago you didn't know if the kid down the street got his bike stolen. Now you know within 5 minutes.

I think as long as people do not have to seek and maintain gainful employment the situation state-wide will continue to go to shite.

No real sense that the city has a prayer of moving forward, only in reverse. My kids grew up here and see going to visit family in Louisiana as though we're going to some third-world shithole.

I like both. Marilyn's has good catfish, and the catfish Marilyn (served over ettoufee) is really good. It's not on the menu, but they offer it as a special sometimes and will make it any time you ask.

He's not bad but crime is bad and there's been a couple of questionable issues with the arena study and a consultant to look at the crime stats. I've done some work with the city and he was upfront and nice to work with on that. I do hate that Monroe has fallen on tough times
