All of my school bus drivers were women. Whenever I see a city bus they are mostly driven by a women.

Power steering enables them to steer a large, bulky vehicle.

When I rode the school bus. The drivers were guys in 11th and 12th grade. It was the 70s. I would on occasion sit in the drivers lap and steer the bus. Pretty cool for a 7 year old

Depends on the school I guess, most of ours were Coaches.

Mine too. They were usually married and retired or they drove their kid to the school too and were a stay-home/part time working mom.
