Yes, mental health or lack of it is definitely more of a problem than whatever these people were "protesting". It's so painfully obvious that it shows on their faces, they hate their lives and it hates them, ugliness personified. They seek to normalize the difference between their own illness and misery by destroying what they perceive is other's health and happiness.

Once you get out of a few small areas in the cities, it's not that hard to avoid these kind of people. Live a little and go see that part of the country.
