I don't think people that are old or people with genuine disabilities should have to work but everyone else needs to do something.

I make a good living and pay for my own groceries. But it's budgeted, just like everything else. If I were to go out to eat too much or eat steak every night for as long as that lasts, then guess what? It's PB&Js until the next payday.
It's simple math. Don't stretch your supply line too thin.

The problem is they shouldn't be BUYING anything. It deludes them into thinking the money is THEIRS. They should be issued food. The inexpensive items mentioned like beans, rice, pasta. POOR quality cuts of beef and chicken. They should be forced to receive them at dispensaries and made to felt somewhat shamed. They should be made to realize that this is a gift and is NOT a right. Since it is NOT a right it is a gift that has a limit. Every single phase of this should be structured to let them know that better things are out there, but THOSE nicer things NOT going to be given to them. You want better? Here go do this work, report to this person and receive better.
