That's the sweet spot for MPG.
I mean, seriously. Limiting the top speed in cars sounds like an attempt to reduce my fuel efficiency. If it's widely known around here that going 100mph gets better fuel efficiency than 60mph, then 110mph>100mph. That's just science.

Manufactures already govern cars not to exceed the speed rating on the tires. Otherwise they are open for a possible lawsuit if there is an accident do to tire failure at high speed.

What about all the cars that aren't governed? There sure are a lot of them out there.

No, you could bypass it with a tuner anyway.
Soon all of the big brother stuff will be deep into the cars operating system. No play, no go.

I wish all of you a-hole tailgating fricks that bunch up in the fast lane were governed to 70. I see the threads, most of the the OT is the biggest threat to my kids not making it to adulthood.

My 2023 F-150 has a governor on it and will act like it’s out of gas when you hit 100 mph.
Unfortunately I’ve done this several times and found out.

You down for breathalyzers being mandatory as well?
Moot point, too late. It’s already law. Every car sold after 2026 needs to have some tech to prohibit intoxicated drivers.

By 04 Tahoe had one at 100 as well. No idea if my current one does or not. Have never tried to drive that fast in it

Let's ban fast cars, guns, and alcohol.
We've done an alcohol ban.
It didn't work out well.
But it did make the Kennedy's rich.

The world would be a better place if your kids don’t make it to adulthood

Totally missed the point, congratulations dumbass.

Why is it the job of the auto manufacturer to determine how fast a car can go? If you have "drag racing assholes" then they need to be fined heavily, do some jail time, and lose their license.

this generation is obsessed with tacking on as much regulation, policy, and law as they can. never seen anything like it.

It amazes me how much freedom people will give up for the illusion of safety.

How would my wife get to work on time?
My wife doesn’t perceive travel time, either.
Honey, aren’t you supposed to be at work by 7am?
Yes.
It’s 6:50 and it’s a 10 mile drive in traffic.
Yep.
*wife makes it in on time
