If you have "drag racing assholes" then they need to be fined heavily, do some jail time, and lose their license.
not sure if you have been paying attention, but 2 of those won't matter - the fine would not be paid, jail time is laughable - mostly because unless it kills someone, they likely would not see the inside of a jail cell - and if they did, it would be a slap on the wrist, and do you really believe losing their license would matter?
there is no happy medium because it is ultimately on the individual to do what's right, and the issue there is everyone looks out for themselves and not each other. the Gov does not need to get int he middle and force anything in that regards.
I can run in the right hand lane at 75 on the interstate and have people tailgate me waiting for the left lane to open up.

Naaa.....it would effect the jobs of cops, wreckers, emergency rooms, insurance adjustors, undertakers, and lawyers.

In a libertarian paradigm, obviously not.

Is there a point in time where reaction time did change and we were able to increase speed limits?

We live in a society with the populace growing more and more weak and scared. We are in decline.

Anyone willing the government more power at this point is an absolute moron.

Because some people live in Montana with no daytime speed limit you cuck
Legally, that's no longer a thing. Practically, you can go whatever speed you want on the interstate unless a statie or HP feels froggy.
