Should “mm hm” be said between segments of phone # or credit card #

What’s the OT’s thoughts on that awkward moment of interchange when giving a card # or phone # to someone you called?
Should they say mmm hmm or ok between each part of stfu and let you go all the way through? Admins at attorneys offices are good at the latter.
What sayeth the OT?

The receiver of the numbers should say "ok" or "got it" after each set of numbers to let the person know they can proceed with the rest.

I read the numbers in 3 or 4 digit chunks, pause, and continue. If you're able to slip in an "ok", great, but I'm not waiting on it.
I don't say "ok" unless the speaker is pausing abnormally long.

I appreciate an mm hmmm, to let me know I'm not going to fast, but after the first mm hmm, I got the pace we're going so stfu.
It's a delicate balance.

I'll only say it if I like the way they talk

That’s one issue. They might start saying ok at same time you resume the numbers..

You must be all kinds of socially incompetent if giving someone a number is awkward for you

I say space.
Just speak with a slightly slower than regular cadence. What irritates me is when people who have heavy accents don't use the nato phonetic codes.

Yeah I don't give them much time. I ask if they're ready, then I go.

Your tough love approach is not helping me.
