I'm super pro-abortion and no one says this. It isn't glorified. You are mixed up with "coming out" and the caitlyn jenner junk.

I refuse to believe that someone like you is for more laws. This is very against the persona you've built here.

I also refuse to believe you don't see the fundamental difference between a woman carrying a fetus compared to the guy just making it. It's not equal.

I think he should be more concerned about telling her what to do with his child inside her body.

I just can't understand the concept of aborting a child out of convenience . Nothing is easy when it comes to parenting and I mean nothing . But the joy I get daily from my son out weighs it all .

While I disagree with abortion on moral grounds, I must accept that we live in a society that sanctions this act. However, given that society has made that decision, it's entirely hypocritical to completely empower the woman to abort or to have the child and to impose her will upon the father either way. If a woman's desire to preserve her lifestyle is sufficient reason to kill an unborn child, why isn't a man's desire to preserve his lifestyle sufficient reason to simply avoid (financially and otherwise) a child that a woman unilaterally decides to bring into the world? Conversely, if society wants to impose upon the father the consequences of his act, I have no problems with that; provided that it is a two-way street.

It's about the care for that child. A woman can accept or reject that care. A man cannot do either.

Whether or not you can legally "opt out" is irrelevant to whether or not you're a deadbeat dad. If the courts decided it can be done, it won't spare you from the title, and rightfully so.

I know this may seem like an oversimplification, but you know this is a possible consequence when you have sex in the first place. Deal with it like a man.

Don't knock people up that you can't come to a mutual decision with then. It's really that simple, and there don't need to be any new laws for this.

this wouldn't be more laws, this would be balancing the laws we already have in place

I'm fully aware that they are not equal.

But like you said, don't want to carry the kid, don't get pregnant.

Men can impregnate woman after woman, all the while "aborting" his responsibilities. It seems like a Pandora's box

Women must incur the cost of abortion fiscally and mentally. If they choose not to abort, they will endure 9 months of pregnancy and childbirth.

Read that again. It takes two to tango (in most cases, let's not consider rape here). Women are just as responsible for the act of sex as men are.

I get that men's rights in the area of children are lacking. I just don't think that giving men this ability will make things better for anyone.

I'd disagree and say that equal responsibility is exactly what makes it better for everyone. Having everyone on equal footing will create the best environment for improved decision making. Maybe women and men would be a little more cautious with who they choose.

And the dad should still have to take care of his child if it is born. Don't like it, don't reproduce. I know you're smart enough to see the difference.

Do you think when it comes to abortion the reproduction was intentional? Both parties need to take responsibility. I think both parties should be involved in any decision from the time of conception.

Also, What if the woman lied and said she was on birth control? The man is still responsible for the child once it was born even though some bitch lied to him.

I get that it takes two to tango. You've missed my point.

Lets say a man goes around impregnating women, he can get off scott free by legally aborting the child.

Now what about the woman he impregnated? He obviously wants nothing to do with the situation, so the cost of aborting or raising the child is on her.

Two to tango, only one bears the full cost of the act.

If you want to get more specific, surely you can agree that the male is the one responsible for the actually impregnation. As a male, you know when you're going to "go", so your ability or inability to do something about it is your fault more so than the woman's.
