Should Men Be able to Opt out of Fatherhood?

I'm not saying its right to do so, but this article raises some good points. If a woman chooses to abort a baby, she's "brave," but if a man chooses not to have anything to do with the child, he's a "deadbeat."
LINK
In Sweden this week, the Liberal* Party’s youth wing has proposed that men should have the same right as women to decide not to be parents
The proposal stipulates that men should be permitted to have a “legal abortion” up to the 18th week of a woman’s pregnancy. This date coincides with the last week a woman may terminate a pregnancy in Sweden.
*Note to confused readers: In Europe, the word Liberal means libertarian.

You could just not get a girl pregnant

The glaring difference is that legally aborting a child does not spare the world the burden of supporting said child.
It raises an interesting point but I can't say I can reconcile my point of view with it.

Plenty of the irresponsible ones do opt out of fatherhood.

Not sure I've ever heard anyone proclaim abortion as "brave", but maybe I'm not traveling in the right circles.
Also, frickING POLITICAL BOARD EXISTS FOR THIS PETTY shite.

It's an interesting concept, but it provides equality. Feminists and SJW's hate equality.

Exactly, it's opting out from the start.

obviously but itll never happen
the game is rigged against men
just as a mother can put her two year old daughter up for adoption, at any time, letting go of any financial responsibilities and the father can not stop her; its sickening

My wife has a friend that got preggers from her frick buddy... He told her he didn't want anything to do with the kid, which she was fine with... She was in her late 30's not married, and wanted a child... Unfortunately it sucks for the kid..

There are a great many people that don't agree with this at all.

That's retarded. IF the baby is born, you should take care of it. Don't want to have to take care of a kid, get better at using condoms and pulling out. It's not rocket science.

yes, absolutely
it has always bothered me that men have no rights when it comes to the abortion of their own child
