I wouldn't feel bad at all, assuming all involved know what's going on and are okay with the risks.

I wouldnt. I spent some time with my brother and his family this past weekend. Threw some things on the grill. It was a good time.

The way I see it, there is only so much you can do. Im working from home, have been watching church online at home. Im couped up in my house all day except for the time I go outside to workout. With all that, a small get-together with a couple family members is not that big of a deal. Yes, I know it is a risk. But sometimes in life you gotta take small risks.

Don’t try to pull this shite in Houma. Karens are on patrol and waiting to call the cops and post their good deed on FB.

I have 3 year old twins and my in laws visit us once a week and we have been to their house several times also. I have friends on FB posting sob stories about their kids not being able to see grandma. Guess they are the take it serious people.

Seriously though

How hard is to just wait this out a little longer?

Jesus will still love you if you don’t spend time with family on Easter and Good Friday, just saying.

I love my parents....which is why I’m not risking their health for my selfish motives to see them.

I saw this exact scene at a house in Metairie last weekend. Was bike riding around the neighborhood and couldn’t stop laughing.

That’s one way to get rid of inlaws you don’t like.

If you truly love your older family members...stay away right now.

Thanks for the advice Karen, but we are adults and can make our own educated decisions.

I’m not some silly stay at home housewife who posts fb memes and articles all day.

I actually have to round in the COVID units each day at work. I have to report each positive case to our public health department so I have to read though the charts on many of these patients.

It is fricking scary how quickly many of them go bad. One minute doing ok....next being intubated and put on a vent. And scary how some are not overweight, not old, and no medical history....and doing really bad on a vent and not looking like they will make it.

Based on what I’ve seen and read in the charts...I want no part of being the reason why a loved one at high risk gets this. It would haunt me if I knew seeing my parents right now possibly cause them to get this and not have a good outcome because of it.

Many people can’t avoid seeing people at risk cause they live with them. If you can avoid it...do so.

ETA: to clarify....I’m not saying avoid family forever....just right now.

No offense but I don’t beleive you

You told people how they don’t love their parents if they go see them, then you went straight to how you see perfectly healthy young people getting very sick

You virtue signal, I have a signal for bullshite
