Do they have a moral obligation after the taxpayers bailed the company out.

Let's deport our current politicians so next time there's a bailout there will be a legal obligation instead of a moral one.

Yes, with the exception of cars never intended for the US market, like Holden.

The lady in charge at GM makes $22 million per year. That is kind of immoral already. I know the big guns get paid these kinds of numbers but is anybody really worth that?

Didn't the big three automakers pay the govt back for the bailout?

You realize GM employs like 100,000 people right? Pretty sure it’s much higher actually.

22 mil divided by 100,000 is $220. So if they just paid all their employees her salary that really makes a difference?

If Drew Brees worth what he makes over Bridgewater? There’s a reason why they are paid what they are.

The Toyota CEO in Japan made the equivalent of 1.1 million. I doubt the CEO at GM is worth that much more than Toyota’s.

I thought a major issue in this strike was that GM was planning to close this a another 1-2 plants. If they are closing US plants to manufacture in another country I can choke down the vomit long enough to... not protest their protest?

Think of the advertising potential. GM in showing our appreciation to America, will open two new plants in the US. I think it would boost sales by appreciative citizens.

They mortgaged everything, including the logo, just before credit markets closed up.

All three were in very bad shape.

The opposite, in fact. They were planning on opening 2 new EV facilities at their current facilities that were going to close because they no longer sell the vehicles those plants were designed to produce.

Maybe you should let GM know they are overpaying. I'm sure the Board will get right on that
