Love me a woman with short hair. Easy neck access.

my wife is about to cut hers. she asked my opinion, not my permission.

for the most part she does what she wants, but we like to run things like that by each other.

i wouldn't get pissed if she did that. unless she looked like a flannel lesbian afterwards.

She goes boy cut and I'd call her a Bull Dyke and keep the dick to myself.

Of course. If not, then who knows what else she isn't telling you

I think it's polite to talk to him about it. Yes, it's my body my choice blah blah blah, but I want to be attractive to my partner. Likewise, I'd rather he talk to me before he gets a tattoo or grows a mustache or whatever.

Agree^

Afterall, even though they are married, only the one with the hair in question has to live with it 24/7/365.

And how many guys are gonna ask their wife if it's OK to grow facial hair, even sideburns? I've never heard of a guy asking his SO if she minds him growing a ponytail even though he only has a partial ring around the head left to grow out (ear to ear around the back but hey, ponytail damnit! And a ZZ Top beard in front so his head doesn't tilt backward LOL).

Yes -- if it's bad enough it's grounds for divorce IMO.

Man... today's youth...

If your wife makes a "drastic change", you use it as an opportunity.

She shows up looking like Sinead O'Connor about to rip up a photo of the Pope? You take it badly. Very badly. Visibly badly. After you pull yourself together, you admit to her that you hadn't realized that you were both still individuals, and she would be making some important decisions for herself, on her own. Let her know that you've come to terms with that. There will be times when you'll each have to decide things on your own.

Then you drive up the next day towing a new bass boat.

No she shouldn't have to consult with her husband, he's not her parent.

edit: I agree with the post above about it being polite etc. Not the bit about having to be an attractive partner but the rest of it.

My wife always asks before changing hers up.

Always the same response from me. I don't care.

I'd definitely like my wife to consult with me. As long as it wasn't a pixie cut, I'd be fine with it if she wanted to. Any of those really short styles though and I might have to start "working late" on a regular basis.

As much as the users of this site yap about this shite, you'd think that they would be able to use the basic keywords correctly.

Mustache can be gone in four minutes or less if it's that much trouble to the relationship.

Not required to get permission but should also not simply expect him to LOVE the way it looks. Unless, of course, she's just looking for a patronizing-like response.

Now he fantasize of being with a different woman? Win win. He doesn't have to tell her about the fantazation. Just like she didn't tell him about the cut.
