The dog looks like a boxer mix. It has a bigger snout than a boxer, but the face has boxer features. It also has slightly longer hair than a boxer.
Honestly, I really didn't expect to hit it. I'd say it might have been 15 ft away? It was moving slowing away. It was sort of running at an angle so I did have a somewhat wide target.
