I have killed a stray pit bull that killed my neighbors cat in his yard. Tried to dissuade it with a BB gun many times before it finally killed his cat. My kids were not going to be next. Saw it roaming through my yard again at dusk and nailed it with a laser sighted .22 right between the eyes. Gave it a proper burial. But that's just me. I am sure you would have tried to love a stray pit bull with a propensity to kill stuff away to animal control. Any animal that poses a threat to me or my loved ones on MY property is getting a warning first and a funeral second.

Nope. The bad asses are the ones saying they would come Iover and do something about it. I would love for you to come over and talk shite to me after I was kind enough to only pop it with a pellet gun. I would bounce your arse around like a basketball and slam dunk your limp body in the trash can.

I would love to spar with you

If the people gave a shite about their dog they wouldn't let it roam the neighborhood with no collar and no supervision.

1. None of this happened
2. Assuming for a second that it did happen, you're a fricking douche for not calling animal control and hurting an innocent dog. Not its fault its owners are trash

Nah. Sounds like you handled it pretty well. Better than I would have.

If the pellet didn't pierce the skin, you really didn't hurt the dog. I don't see why she would feel the need to get revenge. I hope not.

Dog on your property is irrelevant. The minute you retreat to your home and get a weapon, walk outside and kill the dog you are guilty of cruelty and will be charged.

I got shot at a party once in the shoulder by a drunken friend with a pellet gun. Pump them up enough and they can inflict some damage.

Invest in a sling shot next time. They can't come at you with the "look officer we found this rock in the road" accusation.

Not the same as a co2 pistol though. I'm surprised the round even traveled that far.

I love dogs more than the next guy, but the dog coming in the yard barking, getting my dogs all worked up was not the first, second.. or fifth time it has happened. It wasn't like a one time thing that I just reacted on.

This isn't the first time these people had dogs that ended up being a nuisance. All of a sudden they will have a new dog or two and they just let them roam around. Before our parish switched garbage companies (we have one of those trucks that come around that picks up the trash can and dumps it in the back of the truck so the garbage cans are much bigger), people who lived around them would have problems with the dogs getting in their trash. I've seen animal control traps set up a few times so I don't know what the hell goes on with those people, so anyone who is talking about "I would beat your arse if you did that to my dog"... Well if they don't take responsibility for your dog then they should be glad the only thing that happened to it was getting shot by a pellet. It could have been hit by a car, etc, etc.

so youre saying this is an ongoing problem and you never tried talking with them or talking to animal control even though you had multiple opportunities to do so

instead you just shot their fricking dog

That's what I am getting at. If the dog getting hit with a pellet makes them put their dog up, then it isn't at risk to get hit by a car, etc.
