Sounds like 5 might be the total number of people shot including the gunman. He shot 2 people at a house, then drove to the shopping center and shot 2 more and then he was shot at the CVS at Jefferson/Bluebonnet.

Walmart Cortana was a safer place to shop this morning compared to Alexander's on Highland. You don't see that very often

Next year for me and the wife. We’re moving to Naples, FL where there is only 4% cultcha.
That shopping center was one of only a few places that I would let my wife go shop. Shootings on Siegen a few weeks ago and now on Highland. South BR is no longer safe either.

I would not put too much emphasis on this one. Seems like a domestic situation where he shot two in a house and one shot at Alexander's is said to be his grandmother and perhaps a child. They got him and shot him within 10 minutes. This is an outlier to the typical crime in BR.
