It did not enter the suburbs then. Now I have had much more crime in my suburb. And the crime was not at Woman's Hospital then. It was much more confined to certain areas.

Care to post some links, statistics or any other empirical evidence?

What do we know about the shooter that leads to this conclusion?

Found this with a google search, I don’t have a Facebook account but I was able to view this one made back in 2012. From the profile pic it definitely looks like the same guy. Here’s the description on the linked FB account.

Aaron Morgan, son of Tom Morgan and Wendy Watson Morgan Aymond, was in a horrible motorcycle accident in Colorado Springs, Colorado, that has left him in critical condition. The crash, between Aaron’s 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 650 motorcycle and a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, happened around 3:19 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the intersection of Hutchinson Drive and East Fountain Boulevard. The driver of the Grand Prix violated Aaron's right of way, turning left out of a neighborhood on Hutchinson Drive in front of Aaron, on his Ninja 650. Aaron was unable to avoid the car or stop and struck the driver's side of the car. Upon impact Aaron’s strapped, DOT approved helmet was ripped off of his head and the two doors on the vehicle’s left side were dented in by Aaron and the motorcycle two feet, which sent the car into a 180 degree spin. Aaron's movement came quickly to a halt, and he dropped to the ground only feet away from the car and bike. It is believed that Aaron was going about 60 mph (the speed limit is 40) before the collision, hit the brakes and left a visible 15 foot long skid mark, which may have only slowed him to 50 mph at the time of the collision. It is only by the grace of God that Aaron is alive, and he has a very long road to recovery ahead of him. He suffers (or has suffered; some of his injuries have been healed) 6 broken ribs, multiple fractures/breaks in femur, broken clavicle, pelvis, hand, jaw, crushed nose, broken jaw, broken eye sockets, (according to the doctors, every bone in his face is broken) and was bleeding in his brain and lungs. He is in Intensive Care in the Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. The doctors were able to drain the blood in his lungs, and re-inflate them as soon as he got to the hospital, and got the respirator working to get oxygen to his vitals. An Ophthalmologist inspected his eyes Friday (11/16/12) and neither are ruptured, and will BOTH have sight (which was a concern prior to exploratory surgery)! He is now able to breathe on his own (when not sedated) through a trache that was put in his neck. He had surgery on his jaw Saturday (11/17/12) with success! His vitals stabilized enough Monday (11/19/12) for the surgery to pin & rod his left femur back together. The surgery was successful! This page is strictly for prayer, updates, and comforting words or scriptures to bring to his family. PLEASE no hate. No one deserves this and no family deserves to go through this turmoil. We pray for the best and will keep everyone who is concerned updated. Prayers for complete healing for Aaron and prayers for his family have been obviously working. Continued prayers are greatly appreciated! Thank you, keep praying for the injuries remaining and praise God for the injuries healed!

Between that and his mug shot with dilated eyes, I’m thinking this could be pain pill related.

Maybe people with head injuries should not have access to guns.

The vast vast vast majority of people who commit violent crimes with firearms do not obtain or own one legally.

Well, he did the most damage with a knife.

BRs highest murder rate ever was in 2020 and 2021 is going to blow that away.

And then the criminals will willingly go along with it?

I’m a lot more interested in the details of the shooter than in the 18 millionth round of the gun debate.

How many of the perps who are violent felons should be in jail, yet are committing these homicides?

So he is 28, once sprayed graffiti on a church bus, and the next year he is badly injured on a motorcycle near Colorado Springs.

I recall Greenwell Springs, Monticello, and Gardere all being safe. Tara and Broadmoor were very nice neighborhoods.

St George crime is out of hand.

you could even argue N. little John, Tams Dr, Catalpa and some of the other streets by Belaire high school were pretty decent and safe in the mid to late 80’s.

The article I read said the grandmother and mother were stabbed

Exactly. Not sure what he’s referring to. I’m not one to exaggerate and I know this is a message board, but I’ve never heard anyone else make that claim.

Tara is still a nice neighborhood, just a shitty school. Broadmoor has gentrified some too, but I understand your point. We never thought twice about shopping on Plank Road in the 80s. Don's on N Airline, Lafonda's, The Real Superstore - all hood now.
