Why share that on the news?
Sometimes it makes more of an impact/humanizes the story more when you see real images. It’s a tough call.

A black man shoots a black child in front of a Children's store and we won't see a single protest.
No point in blacks protesting against themselves. Wont get any shite from the government that way.

They are going to need to put metal detectors

What time y'all marching to protest the poor black fella hauled away by cops?
There are people that are very happy with this story that the cops didn’t shoot the perpetrator.
Had nothing to do with his color, but the fact that he didn’t try to resist, fight, or shoot at the officers

Interesting tidbit in a CBS news article on the mall shooting from this morning:

Makes me sick. They just can’t help themselves.

The mall in suburban Birmingham was the site of a 2018 police shooting where an officer fatally shot a Black man with a gun after mistaking him for the gunman in an earlier shooting at the mall.
The shooting of 21-year-old Emantic "EJ" Bradford Jr. prompted a series of protests at the mall. The Alabama attorney general's office cleared the officer, saying he acted "reasonably under the circumstances" in the encounter that spanned approximately five seconds.

Meanwhile this afternoon in the same suburb as the Galleria, there have been more police brutality protests. Not gonna bother linking the Facebook page

Hoover PD is providing an update on the shooting at the Galleria on Friday. Suspect Montez Moses Coleman was taken into custody shortly after the shooting. He has now been charged with capital murder. They believe five men got into a verbal altercation in the food court at the Galleria, and Coleman pulled a gun and started shooting.

This is weird that a rash of mall shootings are involving a woman and a child. And they started after Chop failed.

Would bet the house that those frickers have previously been arrested together and live within 5 blocks of each other.

Are there any stats on increased armed robberies, etc. with imposed mask wearing? Seems like a good time to do so, and you can conceal your identity from surveillance cameras much better

I suggested the other day that the masks will put branch bank folks in danger when they open up and was roundly downvoted. Oh well.

Banks used to forbid masks or hats inside the banks. Has this changed?

Yes
The bank my wife works at is allowing people in the lobby with masks on.
Only a matter of time.
