No other first world country deals with the absurd amount of gun violence that America does. This is something that is unique to America among it's allies. But instead of actually doing something we get told oh we cant do that because God help us that we use context in regards to the constitution in that the second amendment was written when the musket was the main gun of choice. And no this isn't a call to ban all guns but putting in actual common sense laws would help.

No shite but you're still taking away at least some access to one thing that makes it very easy to kill a lot of people quickly and doesn't require building shite or proper timing

What is a good “common sense” law?

All the ones already in place. One key factor that people who argue for more gun laws don't seem to understand... criminals don't care about laws.

I had a subhuman break into my apartment. He was halfway in my apartment when I barged out of my bedroom gun drawn. Dude dipped out immediately.

I called 9/11. It took them TWO HOURS to show up, and when they did they told me if he returns to “hide and call them again”.

I laughed in the cops face and said if he returns you won’t be needed, the coroner will.

I like the ability to defend myself rather than depend on the cops who are 2 hours late.

Oh….. I can see the state capital building from my doorstep. I ain’t in the sticks but the heart of the capital city.

You are an abject retard

You claim you don’t want to ban guns

But then you point to other nations where gun ownership is banned categorically.

So which is it?

You filth

What is it you propose we do to solve the “gun” issue in the US? Let’s say you’re the president and your party has full control of both houses of congress to where the opposition cannot stop anything. Lay out your plan.

So now that UK banned knives, what will they ban next?

You have a very lazy thought process.

I didn't see really any first world nations other than the US. Closest you can say are Chile, Egypt, and Turkey. But they're all having massive internal problems right now. Weird how no European countries nor Australia, New Zealand, Japan, or South Korea were on there.

Yup. The rate of SSRIS and other shite is far higher here than our allies.

But that isn’t what you care about.

Like what, you bleeding pussy?

Want to require mental health screenings? Sounds like you don’t understand supply and demand and what that would do to the mental healthcare treatment in this country.

Have you tried getting a mental health screening? It isn’t cheap, nor quick. I wonder what it would do to the price and speed of care if we mandate every single gun owner get mental health screening before they buy.

I’m sure people that are actually struggling with mental health issues will love being priced out of their care and unable to receive timely treatment because gun owners who are perfectly sane are now clogging up the treatment facilities.

Oh.. I totally bet the guys with mental health issues are totally going to be honest and upfront about it when the one thing that helps clear their head - going out into the woods to hunt and be in nature- is taken away from them if they talk about their work or home stressors and dare to mention that dreaded “D” word, depressed.

Just go ahead and tell us specifically what measures you would like to see the federal government take to stop mass shootings. Heck, I say start your own separate thread outlining said measures and then the debate can be contained to that thread and this thread can be dedicated to the news around this tragic event.

I mean, we don’t really even know what’s transpired yet and you’re already calling for laws to be changed in response to this event.

Most of our high numbers come from inner city gangs. Gang on gang violence.

Okay, now break that down further, tell me exactly WHO is doing the majority of the gun violence,

It is the white supremacists. Duh. Joe Biden told us over and over.

How dare you question Joe Biden? That guy was smarter than Einstein.

Notice how you mention a bunch of culturally homogeneous countries. Our country’s violence can statistically be linked to one group that doesn’t live in those places at the rates they live at here

If you really want to have an honest discussion about it, we can.

It will not turn out the way you think it will.
