This but dumbass parents should be blamed the most. I know parents that bring their kid to the doctor for every little thing. It's perfectly normal for a 6 year old boy to be full of energy. It's also normal to feel sadness every now and then. As a society we medicate for everything when a change in diet and exercise will handle 90% of our problems.

The list is mostly drive by shootings/inner city shootings where multiple people were hit

i think a big reason is that we as a society are really big on personal freedoms. if you dont speak up about something, no one is going to insert themselves into your life or force something on you because we view shite like that to be against our natural way of life. you really cant be forced into therapy or shite unless youve committed a crime. you have to request it and thats before we get into the can of worms of how a lot of people view and respond to people wanting help with mental issues. we need to change our outlook on that, or we need to start allowing people to force kids into therapy if signs start popping up
