Are you Baton Rouge’s next poet laureate? I know the OT is filled with class, dignity, wit, and humor. Let the government know your gift for the written word by applying between March 9 and March 21

Advocate Story

What are your poems about?

Can't imagine anyone can beat fr33 at this even if he is goofy.

The position is focused on celebrating Baton Rogue's "rich culture and diversity" through the work of a local poet. The selected poet will serve a one-year term and is expected to develop a community outreach project geared towards sharing poetry with non-traditional or under-served audiences.

Well, they certainly hit all the buzzwords in 2 sentences. Might as well say "white folk need not apply".

Dark and lonely on the summer night.
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
Watchdog barking - Do he bite?
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
Slip in his window,
Break his neck!
Then his house
I start to wreck!
Got no reason --
What the heck!
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
C-I-L-L ...
My land - lord ...

Aspy... you wound me

there once was a mayoress named Broome,
Under that witch the crime and blight bloomed,
She’d hire people like Gary,
(He’s a Giant blueberry)
For God’s sake I hope St. George comes soon

Luckily I identify as a strong beautiful black woman who don’t need no man.

You can refer to me as Skuzztifah from now on, peckerwood.
